The Hand Safety Online course has been created to improve knowledge and practice around hand safety in the workplace. The goal of this program is to minimise or eliminate hand injuries within your workplace and the impact that these injuries can have on you and your family.
There are many things that we do automatically to stay safe, such as fastening your seatbelt. What You Will Learn
This 25-minute program is designed to teach and reinforce hand safety in the workplace. The hand safety course contains the following 5 sections:
- The Hand – briefly covers the anatomy of the hand, grip strength and maintaining a strong wrist position. This section also reinforces the seriousness of a hand injury through an introduction video which can be viewed above.
- Damage – describes the different types of hand injuries – from harmful chemicals to sharp objects and how they affect everyday life.
- Controls – drills into general control measures in avoiding hand injuries, how to prevent hand injuries and utility knife safety.
- Protection – elaborates on personal protective equipment for hand protection. It will take you through appropriate glove selection through an interactive game.
- Keeping Everyone Safe – explains how someone can keep others safe in the workplace.
