This course is designed for individuals working in a supervisory role in the workplace. It is designed to educate Supervisors in the workplace drugs of abuse testing and management processes including the considerations around design and implementation of effective policies and procedures, relevant applicable legislation and strategies and considerations for the management of drug and alcohol issues in the workplace.

Delivered by Workplace Health and Safety or Allied Health practitioners with extensive experience in workplace drug and alcohol services

Completion of this will result in the awarding of a Statement of Attendance issued by KINNECT Training.

What you will Learn
This course is designed for individuals working in a supervisory role and require further understanding of the management of workplace drug and alcohol risk in the workplace.
Participants will gain an understanding of –
- Relevant Australian legislation and standards;
- Design considerations and application of workplace policies and procedures;
- Understanding of the drug and alcohol testing processes (breath alcohol, urine and saliva);
- Understanding of the identification of drug and alcohol abuse in the workplace;
- An introduction to communication and management of affected workers;
- Evaluation of drug and alcohol testing programs in the workplace.

This course is suited to those working in a role requiring an understanding of managing the risk around workplace drug and alcohol. It is designed to assist in improving effective management of this risk.
The program is designed to assist Supervisors understand the background of effective management and supervision of workers. Managers can also benefit in understanding the prnciples around the design and implementation of effective policy and procedure.
