The Queensland Mining Induction Refresher Program. Standard 11 – Refresher
This mining induction program, provided in alignment with the Resources Training Council (formerly the Resource Industry Skills Association – RISA) is provided to allow workers within the industry to meet the requirement to have your competencies refreshed every 5 years.
All participants must be able to provide a Statement of Attainment for the competencies within the Stanadrd 11 Surface Induction program (see Award Qualification tab for a list of the units required).

1 DAY COURSE 7:30AM – 4:30PM

Award / Qualification
To be eligble for this program you must have a current Statement of Attainment for the Units of Competency noted below and currently be working on a mine site which can be verified. On successful completion of this program you will be issued a new Statement of Attainment.
- RIICOM201D – Communicate in the workplace
- RIIERR205D – Apply initial response first aid
- RIIERR302D – Respond to local emergencies and incidents
- RIIGOV201D – Comply with site work processes/procedures
- RIIWHS201D – Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
- RIIRIS201D – Conduct local risk control
- RIIERR201D – Conduct fire team operations
KINNECT Training works in conjunction with Trainwest (RTO#51807) to assess this course and the Statement of Attainment will be issued by Trainwest.

What you will Learn
This Resources Training Council licensed program is designed to provide experienced mine workers and contractors to refresh their knowledge in the underlying principles on how to work safely in the mining environment.
As with the the full Mining Induction Surface Program the focus of this program is to influence behaviour in safety which is done in an interactive ‘hands-on’ manner with group challenges, discussions and activities.
Areas of knowledge to be refreshed includes the principles of safe work policies and procedures, risk control measures, how to respond to incidents and emergencies and communication in the workplace. All under the context of the mining environment.

This program is for any person requiring a Standard 11 surface induction to access a mine site in Queensland.
