Spirometry – Course Resources
Congratulations on completing the online component of the Course in Spirometry and attending the face to face session to confirm your knowledge and complete your initial practical component. As was explained in the course session there are some further submissions required to finalise your course completion and be issued your endorsed certificate.
The following is an overview of what is required.
Post Course Submission
A post course assessment is required before the trainee can complete the course. This assessment is both theoretical and practical, it includes the completion of at least ten spirometry tests in the workplace for review by the course Assessor. Remember, a certificate of completion may only be issued when the participant has correctly completed the workplace spirometry tests and has completed the theoretical assessment.
In order to assess competency ALL LOOPS AND DATA must be provided for each assessment. Loops with errors must be included so your course Assessor can make the determination of competent in documenting test errors seen during the assessment. A video is included below on how to select all loops (please note this video relates to the Easy one PC spirometer, all spirometers will vary on how this data is selected)
