What you will Learn
Sitting for long periods each day has a detrimental effect on the worker’s health and wellbeing.
No matter what the job requirements might be, comfortable, happy workers are more likely to perform optimally and avoid sustaining work related injuries. Small changes in the way workstations are set up (both sitting and standing), how tasks are performed, and breaks utilised, can all make a huge difference to a worker’s long term health.
The aim of this course is to teach participants to complete a basic ergonomic assessment of both sitting and standing workstations. This training program is designed to educate course participants on correct ergonomic principles, and how to assess their employees’ environment to ensure they are correctly set up thereby minimising the risk of injury, facilitating health and well-being, and enhancing productivity and performance in the workplace.
This course is designed for delegates to become an instructor in delivering safe and effective in-house Manual Handling Training to their employees.
